| St. Catherine's Cathedral
A grand, stone cathedral in the center of the city with an admirably beautiful clock tower, bells that chime melodically at each hour, and an array of murals decorating it's interior. Humans often visit for prayer and candle-lighting.

| McManson Library (2 sub-boards)
A grand, elegant old building full of a great many books, old and new. Newer books are on the main floors, as are childrens' books. The dusty, age-old texts are in the library basement. Nonhumans are forbidden, although many slip in unnoticed.

| McManson Park
Wrought-iron gates mark the entrance to Riverside Park. Named after the origianl founder of Riverside Town, George McManson, the park is teeming with rather colorful flowers and trees, some of which are becoming slightly overgrown. A path wanders throughout the park, dotted here and there with benches, and in the center of the park is a large fountain. There is a small wooden swing bench nearby.

| New Vine Inn
Constructed shortly after Riverside Escape was first founded, the Inn is one of the oldest buildings in the city. It is most popular for it's pub, where many people prefer to go as opposed to the club. However, it still serves as a resting place for people passing through.

| The Playground
Right near the popular McManson park is a decent sized, although aging, playground for small children. Humans often spend time here or pass through it. Non-humans tend to lurk here at night.

| The Public Pool
The sounds of splashing and happy children simply beg you to come inside. A cheap consession stand, a large pool, even a hot tub or two. Who in their right mind would pass up such a fantastic chance for a wonderful day?

One Club is a rather famous night club. Known for its tough bouncers, excellent drinks and loud music, One Club is a good place to drown your troubles or just dance the night away.

Nothing much more than a decent view, the Riverfront is merely an area of concrete, benches, and guardrails that overlooks the river. Sunset is a popular time to visit.

A small, quirky coffee shop where humans go to mingle. Occasionally, non-normals may slip in unnoticed among the artsy coffee-drinkers.

| Dark Alleys
Empty bottles and cans litter the alleys that lead away from the center of town to the outskirts. The rank smell of rotting garbage and even maybe a corpse or two fills those dark passageways. The alleys are a popular hangout for non-humans and humans alike, depending on your preferance and toleration of filth and decay.

| The Streets and Sidewalks
The streets of Riverside are usually packed with tons of residents walking to and fro from various places. Most of them are humans, for the non-humans usually avoid being in the presence of humans whenever possible for fear of being discovered. Since the sidewalks are so jam-packed with people, it is an easy place to be robbed, kidnapped, or something similar. So be careful.

The dingier, less respected apartment buildings at the edge of town. Many of the apartments are dirty, and lack proper ventilation and plumbing. Residents must learn not to trust their neighbors, or their landlord, in this place.

| Abandoned Warehouses
Just on the outskirts of town are the abandoned warehouses. They used to be in full, bustling order, but they have long since worn and weakened. Even though these abandoned warehouses are part of Riverside, they belong to the "non-humans". This is the place where the non-humans come to avoid being bothered by the "normals". Rust lines the walls and the support beams have been decaying and weakening for some time now... Dare you enter?

| Black River Forest
Earning its name from the dark appearance of the water from the overshadowing of trees, Black River Forest is not an exceptionally welcoming place. Usually only vampires are brave enough to venture into Black River, and this forboding grove of trees is often where they find their prey. Enter if you dare...

| The Old Quarry
At the edge of the forest and near the beginning of the fields lies a large, deep stone pit where earlier inhabitants of Riverside excavated their stone for building. Some nonhumans tend to wander in and around it's depths. Caution signs stand post around it- Don't fall in.

A remnant of the earlier days of Riverside Escape, the old farm sits near the fields. It consists of a large, empty barn and a series of fire-charred farmhouses. Many non-humans lurk in the shelter of these rotting buildings.

| The Fields
Riverside Town was purposely built far away from other civilizations, and as such, it is surrounded by miles of lush, green fields. Many nonhumans tend to wander these fields as an escape from the cruel segregation of Riverside.

| The Swamp
A dank, smelling area of land off to the side of the fields where some of the water from the river sits and stales. The water is murky and covered in algae, and many trees here are tall and thin. No one can say what may be lurking in the shadows...or in the water.

| The Lake
Known only as The Lake, this crystal body of water is located a few dozen feet away from Black River Forest. The river branches off into this opaque and beautiful lake. However, because this lake is the playground of most of the mermaids of Riverside, it is often avoided by the humans.
